There are definitely some 'dated' type of lines in that book that stick out, but thankfully I can kind of go with the flow and gloss over anything. Thankfully, because it's one of my favorite books and I'd be so sad to suddenly not be able to enjoy it.

I didn't read it for years because all I knew about LM Montgomery was the Anne books and while I love the old school mini series the books always bored me. I'm so thankful my mother pushed it on me again when I was a bit older and told me to just give it a try because boy did I end up falling in love.

I feel the same way. Love the book, and reread it at least once a year. It's definitely a product of its time however, and some things make me wince a little, but it's still one of my faves.
