I don't know. Everything is fine generally. But I feel tired and kind of depressed and I'm not sure why. But I'm drinking a tasty mug of hot chocolate and watching clips of LOTR and Star Wars actors on Graham Norton. So right now all is good.

And now my cat is asleep on my legs, and everything is perfect.

Hoping it will storm for a bit so I don't need water my garden. Did nothing much today. I need some motivation to crochet more. :(

What do you grow in your garden?

We have a huge cherry tomato plant that just keeps getting bigger and bigger. It is about 4 feet tall and across now. Just huge. We also have a hot banana paper plant. There are some carrots but the tomato has taken over so no clue how they are doing, lol.

I hope we get some rain here just so it would stop being so obnoxiously hot.

We had mid 80s last weekend here in OK. It was amazing!

Oooo, that sounds nice. We've had 90s up to low hundreds for days, and I'm over it.

Dog and housesitting. Nursing a really bad headache that's mostly dissipated, but has lasted almost an entire day.

Attempting to put my money where my mouth is and write.

I haven't eaten dinner yet. Maybe I should do that. Might solve a problem or two.

This period has been so bad, like literally the worst one I've had in a while and mine are usually quite shit. Yesterday I was flushed and sweaty and the last couple of nights have barely slept. I've gone through two packs of 10 overnights.

I want a hysterectomy so bad.

Today was the third day of my new job and the power was out for most of it, lol. Fortunately I was mostly shadowing other coworkers so it didn't really affect me that much. But still, bit of a clusterfuck. I also didn't have money for lunch and when I tried to move money from my paypal account, they were like NO.

I also got a parking ticket because my job starts at 8am (but we can start coming in as early as 6am) but the parking in front of the building isn't allowed between 7am-9am. Which is pretty dumb in my opinion. :\

It honestly hasn't felt like that bad a day but when I write it all down, oooof. XD

Taking tomorrow off work and feeling guilty af about it.

Yes, it'll be a three day weekend. Hope to get a break from looking at a damn computer all day (which I realize is hilarious to say given where I'm posting this).

My guilt stems from being forced into trainings that IMO didn't have enough breaks, so my mind wandered a lot. In the meantime, my day to day work suffered because I was supposed to be in training. But I'd already planned the day off. I tried to catch up as much as possible but either others are slacking or are letting things slip their minds. Which is going to cause problems for certain people in my absence. I should probably just let them get "caught" and deal with the consequences, but I think it's also my fault for noticing an issue but not saying anything about it (though I literally wrote up messages several times to supervisors and then deleted them for fear my expectations were unreasonable) and just stewing in resentment. But at the same time, it's not my job to manage their work or rank their priorities. It's just sometimes I do wish they'd prioritize the stuff they were signed up for (albeit involuntarily) because in the end, somebody ends up getting screwed, whether that's me or the person handling the task the next day.

One day before holidays for two weeks (it's a staycation and I plan to hermit at home and it's gonna be GREAT) but I'm also bad at holidays because my anxiety is such that I am fretting at everyone hates me and no one will want me to come back. And I know the last two days before I come back will be spent staving off intrusive thoughts about how I should just quit because clearly they don't need me and I'm worthless.

And, reader, I know this is incorrect and all in my head.

It's still all in my head though.

Anxiety sucks.

(Even when going on holidays.)

I am no longer needed for standby jury duty and they didn't even get to my number anyway, so that's a relief! But I'm still depressed about this guy from the past and our central air conditioning unit for the house still hasn't been fixed yet. It's been four days without cool air and it's in the eighties here.

Got my nails done, they have cute little blueberries on them! <3

Just got back from my cousin's funeral in another state. :( She was only five years older than I am.
