It felt like a love letter to the Fox X-Men films more than anything else, though it was also embracing the previous Deadpool films too.

I enjoyed it, I laughed a lot. But I just wasn't sure if it was a good film overall - not saying it was bad, but I don't think I would've enjoyed it as much were it not for my nostalgic attachment to all the previous properties referenced.

It felt like such a perfect finale. I absolutley loved all the callbacks and "justice for" characters. I cracked up at every entrance but also a big hearty yes! Thank you!

I actually thought it was better than the last one. That felt like kind of a mess to me.

…it’s not the last one though.

Also, Johnny Storm’s death was hilarious and I actually love that so many forgotten Fox characters were given a definitive ending. As Sparkly said above, it felt like a love letter to all of those movies. And from a fandom standpoint, we’re welcome to fill in the decades long gap of the movies to DP & W for all of them however we like.

I laughed through the whole movie. I found it very, very entertaining. I have no desire to watch it again because I thought it was kind of ... exhausting to watch, if that makes sense.

So first, I kind of feel like if you think Johnny Storm's death was meanspirited, you don't understand the Deadpool ethos.

That said, this movie did feel different from the others, and I think that's due to its scope. While the second movie brought in some X-Men, the stakes were still mostly at "sword and sorcery" level, revolving around him and his personal goals. The stakes in this film, however, approach "high fantasy:" it's a world-ending situation. They made it a part of his character arc, sure, but it still pulled it out of a purely Deadpool-ish realm, at least from my perspective.

I'll be happy if it's the last entry mainly because I don't want him to overstay his welcome. Disney doesn't fucking know when to quit.

I want this to be the last film because it had a happy ending for the characters.

I thought killing Nicepool was way worse than killing Johnny who at least had a hand in his own destruction according to the post-credits scene.

...until he's ninety!

Nicepool's death was hilarious, though. And someone in the theater exclaimed, "his HEAD blew up!" when it happened, which just made it funnier.
