I think more remakes should get wildly creative with source material.

An idea emblematic of this that lives rent free in my head is a retelling of Buffy: the Vampire Slayer that is somehow also a Freaky Friday adaptation.

So Joyce would be the slayer for a period of time?

Now I kind of want a show where the 40yo mom has sudden world saving powers and has to juggle it with work and family etc. And not an action star but just a very normal Joyce like character and actress.

In my head, it's how she finds out.

Don't ask me. I've only seen like 20 episodes of Buffy.

I just think it'd be neat if we crossed genres or took more risks with fiction in general.

Not just slapstick but more physical comedy. I feel like it's a really lost (or underutilized) art!

Good scifi horror. Especially novels. Just not many good ones.

I'll take any media form that focuses on historical sci-fi romance/romantica (think Somewhere in Time).

Fantasy sitcom. Scifi sitcoms. Just more lighthearted tv comedies in sff settings please.

Heists + Scifi/Fantasy/History - Heists are fun but half the time they scifi handwave/basically magic their way past issues so lets go for broke and add robots

Romance + scifi/horror - look, sex and horror go together well. I'm not the only one who was effected by all the sex scenes in old slasher movies. I'm so normal right now I swear.

Romance + Fantasy - I'm the person who wants to see fantasy dwarves as a romantic hero and BY GOD i am unfulfilled.

High fantasy heists are my favorite! I want all of them. But yes, I'll take SciFi too.

I am forever angry that we don't get more proper dwarves as romantic interests in games and other media.
