I'll be honest guys, what I'm gettin from these comments is that it's all "shipping is not activism!" Until it's in a way you guys don't like. OP shipping only het doesn't make they any more homophobic than someone shipping only slash makes then sexist.
"Homophobic vibes" from shipping cartoons is way too silly personally, we don't know OP outside of they liking SU and having a prefference for M/F.

You do you OP, not into it myself, but the characters aren’t real people, you're not taking away any representation, it still exists on the show. Have fun!

Yeah this. I only ship slash ships and avoid trans headcanons. Guess that makes me a sexist fetishising transphobe lol

I agree. There's some takes here that really kind of weird me out.

When it comes to sex and relationships, even if only in the context of fiction or fandom, I don't think anyone should feel obligated to be into something. And the notion that, in order to not be homophobic, tolerance, acceptance, and acknowledgement are not enough; you yourself have to be actively interested in queer sex and relationships, strikes me as really wrong-headed. The dream is that we all get to live our lives as we wish, without the threat of harassment or discrimination or worse. The dream is not that we figure out the best, most progressive orientation, and make everyone act as if they have it.
