I hate multiverse stuff, too! I wish they’d left it out but I also think they couldn’t have made the movie without it. Not if they were trying to team Deadpool up with Wolverine nor if they were trying to bring both into the MCU. As a device, it worked perfectly. We can only hope it has tamped down on the likelihood that we’ll be subjected to endless multiverse nonsense in the future.
