Not having been in this part of fandom... what reasons do people give as to why Bucky shouldn't step into the role?

It isn't that he couldn't. It is that he shouldn't be for his own mental health. He's still healing. I do think he could probably handle it someday. But at this point, he's not ready. He's still healing.

I disagree. People can do things even when they are still healing, and he has been very willing to go back into the fight when necessary, as he did in FATWS and Civil War. It would have been a wonderful redemption arc for him, as well.

I think the artstyles are kind of polar opposites for the most part- thin, dark and hot-topic edgy vs. round, light and cotton candy pastel. But they're both very stylised so they do appear kind of similar despite being such opposites.
