StarTrek: DS9 has a real problem with sexism. It has at least three instances of Space-Karens being the worst of the worst villains on the show. Alixus, Female Changeling, and Kai Winn. When you keep going back to the same character type time after time to be your baddie, there might be a systemic problem.

Kai Winn isn't a Karen, she's a religious zealot.

I have news for you, religious Karens are 100% a thing. But Winn isn't a religious zealot, she's a Karen who chose religion as her path to importance. Notice that she is perfectly willing to throw in with her version of Satan in order to get what she wants if she has to.
