My brother's chemotherapy working again to beat cancer for a third time.

I'm sorry about your illness. I feel this one too. A migraine treatment that actually worked fully would be nice.

Kamala Harris' presidency.

Yes, I know that only happens if we US folk ALL show up and get smarter about elections in general. But I've been watching highlights of the first night of the DNC and goddamn the energy is amazing and I think the Democrats have finally gotten a clue about how to talk about their accomplishments, and emphasize how important elections are.

On a side note, I got Panda Express for dinner. As soon as I finished watching the highlights, I opened the fortune cookie. Yes, I know fortune cookies are just like a lucky charm or making a wish upon a star, but I had to laugh at the message on the paper:

VISUALIZE THE WIN.

Yes. I'm visualizing it hard. Also, Trump seems to be currently losing it over her nomination. There was a speech in the past few days where he was losing it so hard chunks of his audience left. More of that, please.

The speeches thus far have been FIRE. The energy is incredible and I hope to any and all deities above that that energy carries into November and beyond. Their messaging is spot on - simple, to the point, yet passionate and strong.

In the near future mom and I are going to an art museum on labor day.

In December, looking forward to hopefully winning the case for my client and getting him a green card.

Kamala, obviously. I'm actually hopeful about it.

In the more distant future, having a different job. Maybe my own place. In a dream world, someday working for a nonprofit.

A trip next month to the place where I want move.

Halloween party in October and this year we’ll have more people.

Visiting extended family for Thanksgiving and taking my dog this year. Last year was the first year I’ve been since I was 15 and it was such a great time!

Backpacking pretty much nonstop in the winter, mainly January and February when it’s actually winter here.

I hope the trip goes really well.

Halloween is my favorite holiday. I hope your party is really fun.

And I hope the backpacking goes well and is just as fun as you want it to be.

I'm going interstate with my mum to see a broadway show and it'll be nice to get away with her for a bit, just the two of us. After her health scare last year I don't want to miss any time with either of my parents.

In media, Thunderbolts* and Fantastic 4. I hope they're both good.

Kamala Harris and Tim Walz winning the election. I'm also hoping for the House to flip and a bigger Dem margin in the Senate.

Yes! I really hope so too. I major win that is a total Republican repudiation would be nice. I'm skeptical about the House just because of how skewed the voting is set up. Republicans basically have it set so it is really, really hard for them to lose the House even if more people actually want Democrats.

If the Dems expand their senate majority, you'll find me drunk off my ass running through the streets yelling about how magic is real and there's proof of the existence of God

My Montreal visit is next month, and my boss has approved my time off for Christmas. I'll get two weeks to hang out with my dad (and maybe even mounts if they can make down south).

In no particular order:

1) a Harris Presidency
2) the release of the movie Transformers: One
3) a cure for a common nuisance level disease
4) a cure for a lethal disease

A friend got me into paddleboarding. These last weeks of summer are going to be filled with visits to lakes. I might be going solo Saturday but I just want to sit on my board and glide around water between breaks to sit on my board with my feet in the water ^_^

I also have karaoke night with a friend and some coworkers next weekend.

And then there's a cute tea shop my friends and I plan to visit in October. We're going to dress up as witches.

The only slightly solid plan I have longer term is that my family and I want to go to the 2026 Men's World Cup.
