He tries too hard to justify crossing those lines, writing the stories that justify them, making crossing them look cool. He is where the cancer that has consumed modern Trek started with.

And then he went on to do the same thing with BSG, making bastardry the cool badass option. If he doesn't idolize the military then he has a strange fucking way of showing it. TNG was far more condemnatory of the militaristic mindset.

You clearly have a hateboner about BSG which, fine whatever that's your business and doesn't have anything to do with Star Trek, but the idea that militarism in DS9 is "the cancer that has consumed modern Trek" is absolutely laughable.

I do agree that Moore was the start of a more military badass Trek, which I don't like, but I don't think he managed it in DS9.
