We never see Deadpool have sex with someone who isn't a woman. We never meet an ex who isn't a woman. Every time he mentions attraction to men it could easily by written off as a joke.

Heck, it could be written off as a homophobic joke.

I think Ryan Reynolds is uncomfortable going there, as a straight guy.

Every time he mentions sex with anyone it is written off as a joke, even with Vanessa who he canonically hooks up with. Please tell me more about your bi and pan erasure though, seeing as how denying someone is pan or bi because they hook up with someone who is the opposite sex. Because that is something we bi people never, ever, get tired of hearing about. /s

I just wish it was more explicit. I saw the film with my conservative friend and she didn't understand that Wade is attracted to Logan. She thought he was just joking. And I think a lot of the conservative people who love the film think the same.

There are none so blind as those who refuse to see...

That's their problem, not the movie's. If two men had sex onscreen they'd still think it was a joke. A tasteless, disgusting joke they didn't want to see, I'm sure, but still a joke. In fact, it was not unheard of for the two male leads in stoner comedies for cishet dudes in days not long past (the 90s) to have a make-out scene for that kind of "funny" shock value. See Dude Where's My Car and that movie the South Park guys starred in.

I agree with you, anon.
Guys in my high school in late 90s had more explicit jokes. It's not bi or pan erasure to expect representation not easily erased by translation

Did we all miss the tone Deadpool uses when he says "Oh my god" after Logan tells him to STFU?

Wade totally got hard at that.
