Agree that is part of it for WS but I still maintain Civil War is a mess.

Came here to reply that I’d give you the point for Winter Soldier but not Civil War, that was still a clusterfuck. Maybe less quippy than some of the previous entries but still let down by poor (in my admittedly biased opinion) writing.

SAME. Seems to me that all the seriousness and real emotion in WS were totally undercut in most of CW. It had it's moment, for sure, but it just was not as good as WS which is, to me, the best of the Marvel movies (closest is the first Captain America, because I love an origin story).

Yeah, Civil War is 90% shit about genuine emotions, let alone the dumb stakes-free plot. (The other 10% are Bucky getting brainwashed and everything T'Challa-related.)

I’m currently playing a game called Tactical Breach Wizards, and it’s pretty much wall-to-wall quips. I don’t watch Marvel movies, so I wonder how people would compare it to them.

While I do think that Captain America: Winter Soldier is one of the best MCU movies, Captain America: Civil War doesn't even make my top ten. And neither of them make the top ten for Rotten Tomatoes critics score (11 and 12, respectively), which I do take with a grain of salt. Winter Soldier is in the top ten for Rotten Tomatoes audience score (behind Shang-Chi and the Legends of the Ten Rings, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Deadpool & Wolverine, Spider-Man: Far from Home, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, tied with Avengers: Infinity War and Guardians of the Galaxy). The disparity in rank is kind of interesting to me.
