He’s good at what he does but I’ve seen a lot of his work and it’s all very similar. I love the guy but he has limited range and “greatest actor of our age” implies the exact opposite.

This. But then again, I feel that way about a lot of actors considered great. They are good in their specific character type. But truly great actors have wider range.
