We have a giant cemetery with a fence, arched gate, and some ghosts dancing a ring around the tree off to the side. We also have a creepy doll done up as a ghost that hangs from the cherry tree by our mailbox. This year I have an upgraded gate, have doubled the headstones, and am putting the finishing touches on a horse drawn hearse (we don’t have horses for it of any kind, next year I will try to get some skeleton ones or find some old carousel horses for sale).
My interior decorations lean more towards unsettling than horror and they’re creepier because of it. Many are up year round like a painting of a man trying to escape witches and some vaguely Victorian geegaws (really the best word to describe them). Just a lot of oddities and for the Halloween party I add lace doilies to every flat surface but we also have a fake raven in a birdcage and lenticular horror portraits that look like old family photos from one direction but from the opposite direction it’s all blood and violence.
