I'm someone who loves to complain about things but oh my god do I agree with you OP. There's perfectly well thought out concrit, and then there's the inane nitpicking that's about someone 1. not understanding the plot, 2. not paying attention to the plot, 3. a story beat that was never going to happen, never hinted at happening, not happening, 4. someone's pet never-going-to-happen ship not happening or 5. all of the above.

And it's as you said: so fucking draining. I think it's one thing to complain to like-minded friends or in fandom spaces, it's entirely another to take that heat to the actors/creators and act like spoiled toddlers. I don't know how we got here but I hate it.

I'm 100% down to listen to someone complain about how they personally did not like something. Seeing some people go off about how much they, personally, blisteringly hate a show can be funny as hell sometimes.

But I'm so tired of being told that everyone and their mom should not like something that the poster did not like and how it's objectively bad and we all should be angry and ranting about it.

Someone said before on here a while back that fandom has lost the idea of "I" statements and I think that's largely true.

There's also the problem of people who do make claims like "this show said Nazis were good, actually" and jump through hoops to try and prove that that was what it said, and that's why they hate it and everyone who likes it is a Nazi apologist. And 99.99999% of the time the show will have said nothing about Nazis or anything remotely close, it's just more reaching for a moral reason to dislike something instead of allowing themselves to just not like it.

I've been coming around to understanding that a lot of people want to express negative feelings and to also feel superior, hence that's why they love hating fictional characters and stories.

Audiences can say the Main Character is selfish and an idiot for all the bad choices they make, unlike the viewer. The Viewer wouldn't betray their family or forgive someone who treats them bad if they were in the same fictional situation as these fictional characters.

I just wish viewers would remember that when expressing those feelings that it's about stuff that is for entertainment. They aren't a reflection on the viewers' morals or whatever the fuck people project onto things they consume.

I still blame The Snyder-cut. It empowered fans (Mostly fanboys, but fans) to believe if they whine enough they can change canon.

Like, in what world should they just Re-edit GOT for a better ending, or just de-canon all of the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy?

It's quite possible that an edict from above (at least at the producer level) has meant that the show's gonna have the Joker regardless of what the directors and writers want.

I hadn't thought of that as a possibility until now and I was there when Papa III was dragged off stage at Liseberg, back in 2017.

Any theories as to whom might off Copia?

The reason nobody expected the previous Papas to die until they did is the vast majority of the band's existence did not kill off the Papas when they were replaced.

1, 2, and 3 were killed off en masse (and I do think the idea that that was clearing house in the wake of the lawsuit has merit), and Nihil was pushing 80 when he died of a heart attack...and he's still around.

I probably would too, assuming they became fans of the games after the reported abuse. If somebody was a Starcraft fan because it was such a big part of their childhood, or because they made some good friends that way, I'd understand that.
