Uggghhh, especially when they walk like fucking molasses and you're not allowed to beat them to the destination.

When their walking speed is faster than your walking speed but slower than your running speed...

I remember playing 7th Guest as a child and not having Internet so the Soup Cans quest took us MONTHS. And it was just random bullshit that allowed it to be solved. So now when something is impossible without a guide we call it SOUP CANS in my family lol

Probably doesn't count, but paywalling shit. Especially when I've already paid for the game and they aren't giving me any new meaningful content like a new quest/story.

Similarly, "you can't beat this boss unless you got this obscure item that we aren't going to bother to give you hints about or help with in any way. Oh, and you probably missed it 12 hours ago, so I guess you're fucked and have to start over." (And of course you can't complain about it on gaming forums, because all the "git gud" assholes who can only derive pleasure from a video game by putting their nutsacks in a vise grip and beating their skulls against a brick wall and think everyone else should be the same, will act like it was the eeeeeeeasiest thing ever so why couldn't you figure it out?)
