I don't even watch the show and can't stand Buddie because the way it inundated my feed when the one guy got into a relationship with someone else.

It’s so hard to avoid if you’re in the fandom at all, I’m into Maddie/Chim and Hen/Karen and finding anything just for them is like pulling teeth. Buck being bi was fine for about a week then when it was clear Tommy wasn’t going to be leaving by the seasons end they got fucking nasty, a fandom friend of mine has had to take a long break from fandom because some of the shippers invaded her inbox for weeks until she turned it off because she liked the new ship. Fucking madness.

Yeah, I was getting Klance vibes from Buddie fans when it started. I actually hoped Tommy would stick around because I knew it would piss them off.

The comparison is accurate unfortunately, I find Buck/Tommy cute enough but I’m not a full shipper so weird anon hate bypasses me, but I know of at least one Buck/Tommy fan who got hacked and had her account deleted by a group of nasty shippers and many others have had to turn anon off because they get harassed if they don’t(this of course doesn’t stop some buddie shippers invading the B/T tag just to spew hate at the ship and the shippers) it’s absolutely insane behaviour over a goddam ship.

I’m kind of dreading next season honestly because unless Tommy is shunted away off-screen they’re only going to get worse the longer they don’t get what they want.
