They’re just stupid. Anyone who thought for a second that ALGERIA let a trans person live let alone represent them in the Olympics is dangerously stupid.

And this straw man gets trotted back out. It would not be the first time or the last that a country puts forward its fastest (erroneously assigned female at birth) runner or hardest hitter, and then faces controversy if a DNA test reveals they were male.

Erik Schinegger, for instance, was apparently competing in women's Olympic skiing entirely in good faith, but despite what he'd thought, he was a man. https://www.evakurilova.com/p/the-womens-ski-champion-who-turned

go away TERF anon

Schinegger is intersex and chose to have surgery to become a man. Your TERF is showing.

DA but based on some things I've read about the current case, Imane could also be intersex.

She's not. She has a higher testosterone level than the average woman, but she is not intersex.

And? Olympic athletes are physically different from the average population. If there have been several instances where an unknown chromosomal mutation have been revealed, to the surprise of everyone including the athele themselves, what's the solution? Do we force chromosomal testing on every athlete, or just the female ones?

Eehhh, a lot of Muslim countries are more open to trans people than they are to, say, homosexual people. So not saying she is trans but this is not the argument you think it is.
