Oh gods the tags. If I have to scroll too long to get through your tags to find your summary I am not reading your fic.

Yeah, the "wall of tags" is a surefire way for me not even look at your summary - There's no way someone created a decent story with ALL of that crammed in there.

chapter 1/1 finished

Is there any chance someone either has a plugin or knows how to use the AO3's search to filter out fics with an absurd number of tags? Because I would love to do that automatically, and then just focus on what I want to read among the remaining stories.

Yeah, that just screams "fraud or troll who didn't actually do the writing." All those stories get automatically filtered out.

I have been sort of dismayed how many there are in this obnoxious style in certain megafandoms on the AO3, like Genshin. But seriously ... if I can tell without clicking in that they probably spent more time listing their tags than proofreading their story, that writer has lost me. Everything that even smells like (faily) Search Engine Optimization disqualifies itself.

I disagree, I think it more screams "I have no idea how this site works and I don't care, I'm going to put every tag I can think of to get as many hits as I can"
