Agreed. Also - not bothering to actually format it. The amount of fanfic I skipped because the summary was all lower case is not small. I know some people do this to be ~artsy~ but that's just another reason not to read it.

I don't even care if the summary is bad but for the live of god, stop telling me that you suck at writing summaries! I'll be able to judge that for myself, thank you.

Any self depreciation about the summary in the summary itself or in the tags makes me instantly disregard the fic. Just quote a few lines of the fic if you're really uncomfortable with a summary!

Agreed. The summary is supposed to tell me what I can expect from the fic. If the summary is bad, I'm going to assume the fic is as well.
