Same. I've only seen him praise other authors/settings and explain different writing styles while pointing out how they're all valid. Unless there's something OP has seen I haven't he's never come off as a my-way-is-the-only-way type. He has his niche he likes to write in but that in of itself doesn't mean someone thinks others are inferior, people tend to write what they enjoy and that's fine even if it's a genre I don't care for much.
