Or Terry Goodkind. What a douchebag he was, believed in Ayn Rand but did not believe in COVID vaccines. Died in 2020.

I liked David Gemmell though, even if he was a self diagnosed psychopath, as far as needlessly violent and gorey writers go Gemmell was a good one. And for a man who was supposedly a psychopath, his stuff was surprisingly hopeful and ethical.

I somehow completely missed that Goodkind was dead. And yes, he was a douche. It thrills me to no end how much Legend of the Seeker changed things.
