lmao but seriously though heroes who really do succeed through hard work and friendship are extremely thin on the ground in fiction, and it's not just shounen either. Even shoujo shows where the premise is that the protagonist is the "normal" one of the group like Sailor Moon, or "doesn't have powers" like My Happy Marriage invariably end up with the protagonist a secret princess or secret magical bloodline genius who is actually!!! the most powerful of all!!! Media where this isn't the case are almost invariably genre subversions, intended for an older audience.

Even what jjk does with it: just out and out "yes, bloodline powers are just better, people are born better" then explores the consequences of the alienation people experience when they're just Born Gods and the alienation of others from them ends up being slightly subversive because that's not what you're Supposed To Do. You're not supposed to say the quiet part out loud. You're supposed to pay lip service to hard work and friendship as the Appropriate Moral for the audience, while eating the cake of Power Fantasy, too.
