Readers admit that all the time, and then they get told that it's the same thing as misogyny (hear that, straight women, you're all misogynists for only being attracted to men), or that being horny is a stupid, sometimes even morally wrong reason to ship something.

People who say that are stupid. Unfortunately there's very little that can be done to stop stupid people from saying stupid shit.

Well, yeah. But they're very loud about it and don't leave it alone, which is why women start going down the path of "well also female characters aren't as well written and blah blah blah" and writing essays to justify themselves. And then those long essays get seen by other groups, whereas the "I just think it's hot" reasoning needs no essay so they tend to get lost and then we have people like the ones here saying women should just admit they find it hot and it would be fine, because they don't know women are already saying that and it isn't good enough for the people bothering them about it.
