I think he also said something about Minneapolis burning down as well. I live in Iowa and have been to Minneapolis many tmes - just went there for a concert last year, in fact.

I knwo this will come as a TOTAL shock to everyone here, but the city is not burning. It's perfectly fine.

As a Minneapolis resident, I can say that four years ago this was a problem. I did see smoke when I looked out my condo window one morning in late May. We had curfews, and a disproportionate amount of destruction occurred in majority BIPOC areas. However, every ward in the city experienced some form of vandalism. It's not burning now, but we are still rebuilding. That includes emotionally. I suspect the city rate of PTSD from May 2020 is much higher than acknowledged (partly due to pressure to stay silent about how we felt about people coming in and destroying things).
