The power walk thing really didn't work in live-action, I thought. I'm glad they just kept it to a brief background gag.

I did like that he immediately fell in with the TOS crew of Lower Deckers, at least as they were Lower Deckers in SNW, with Ortega and Chapel rather than spending too much time with Pike and Una. It would have been too easy to put him in with the command crew, as so often happens in fanfic.
