She endorsed Biden. Is anyone shocked she endorsed Kamala?

Right? Like, it was mostly a matter of marketing/timing and when to endorse for maximum effect (not too close to the elections so it doesn't seem like an afterthought but not too long before them to have been forgotten about again) and not whom she would endorse but some people are acting like they actually expected her to be a secret Trump stan. I'm not even a fan of hers but the extent some people go to to villainise her is kind of ridiculous.

I'm not a particular fan of hers and even I knew she'd supported Biden in the last election, does everyone on the internet have goldfish memories or are people so hell bent on villainizing her that they thought she was some secret Trump supporter?

The timing was obviously done for marketing/promotion reasons, but that's hardly a surprise, it's how business like that works. I swear people are being deliberately stupid sometimes.

To be fair, there were also a number of MAGA deepfakes that had her endorsing Donald so I get why she felt the need to clear things up.

Not to mention, she encouraged young folks to register to vote. Which runs counter to Republicans' beliefs (and sometimes plots, ugh) that not everyone should have the right to vote.

She has been pretty vocal about her not supporting Trump. I think the announcement was just a matter of timing.

She's supported Democrats before OP, it wasn't a matter of if it was a matter of when she made her official endorsement.

I really don't care what motivated her to endorse Harris, and admittedly, I'm not a fan of her music or billionaire status. But I appreciate her making a public statement like this, even though it should have been obvious she was no Trump supporter (except to Trump supporters I guess).

She's been fairly political for quite a few years now. I would've figured anyone who cared enough to read her statement knew that already, tbh. Not really directed at you so much you, OP, but in general, it's so tiring seeing everything taken in bad faith from any public figure. Isn't the world lonely when you look at it like that?
