The only thing that's weird is that you seem to be more bothered by words being used than you are by the fact that people are being fucked over by a system that's designed to keep them subjugated.

DA But it's probably because those words have historically sensitive meanings and you're shitting all over that by using it this way. Just like calling every murder of more than 5 people a Holocaust or calling a 20 year old dating a 17 year old a pedophile. It's shitty and you should get crap for it.

But no. Slavery and wage labor have always had a great deal of overlap. Slavery also has a much wider history across the world than people who wave the word around in a non-labor context would like it to have, because they'd rather it be artificially narrowed into a definition that makes the rich more comfortable.

There's enough bad blood already between workers and self-described progressives. Claiming it's wrong to call their exploitation slavery adds to it.
