Re: The Theater

I also saw the D&D movie in the theater as my most recent.

Jurassic Park was awesome in the theater. It was playing on multiple screens in the theater I went to, so not only did the sound from our theater rumble through me at points (very effective when the T-Rex first comes), but there was a smaller pulse of vibrations from the sound in the theaters on either side that added to the experience (swear to god, it seemed like there were big dinosaurs running around just out of sight).

Star Wars: A New Hope - the giant star destroyer was mouth-dropping. The crawl, the music, the sound of the lightsabers, the scale of the Deathstar, all of that and more was shown to advantage on the big screen.

Once in college, they had a movie night at the student rec center. They put Jaws on a giant screen and they had people in the massive pools on inner tubes to watch. So anxiety-inducing in the most thrilling way.
