I don't think any children should be bullied for harmless hobbies.

But ngl as someone who also plays lots of video games as a hobby, if I run into someone IRL that "identifies as a gamer" I'm wary of them because they tend to be socially maladjusted and treat it as an identity and not a hobby.

If someone is like "I play video games" though, no awkward vibes.

Same.

I don't judge anyone that plays videogames. Hell, I play them daily. But anyone that uses this as a form of identification carries the stereotype of being a really, really whiny and bigoted person.

Same! I didn’t even notice I do that for the longest time. I’m the same way with anyone whose hobby is their identity because being around those people is exhausting for me.
