Several people in this thread are also missing that OP never called anyone cockroaches. They called their aversion to children the same kind of aversion e.g. visceral, horrified, recoiling, that other people have toward roaches. Not that children = roaches or that children = the status of roaches.

Replace the word cockroach with "spider" and they're clearly not calling children spiders. People are looking to be angry today.

You’re missing that OP called them repulsive. The secret is about them hating (not disliking) children so much IRL that they don’t like children in fanfic. I guess you’re lucky enough to not have been around any childfree people. They’re absolutely insane and many will traumatize children if they encounter them. It’s not surprising that a community that isn’t childfree specific is having a bad reaction to finding one of those people in our midst.
