Bullying sucks. Gaming was just the instrument, if it hadn't been that, it would have been something else or someone else. I mean, your bullies might have been genuinely disdainful of video gaming, in which case they could feel superior, or they thought it was something that would get to you, in which case they could feel powerful. They just wanted you to feel bad because it makes them feel better for whatever reason. That's a pretty terrible way to be. It's normal to feel jealous of others who didn't have your bad experiences. It's also pretty common to feel anger towards them, but that anger is misdirected. It should be aimed squarely at those who bullied you. That anger is yours to feel, but try not to let it be something you carry too long or hold on too tightly to - that kind of thing can do you more emotional harm.
