It's really not that serious. I have sometimes felt disrespected by fic that came across as homophobic and by homophobic behavior of women in fandom who liked m/m but who had a problem with gay guys IRL, that type of thing sucks and gets you on my block list quick. And yes some fic is fetish-y but nsfw fic in general is, the mere existence of fetishistic m/m erotica doesn't bother me at all. It is definitely possible for people to engage with it in a hurtful or like, kind of rude way but it's not wrong IMO to simply like the character dynamics of two guys together or find the mental image of the guys fucking hot. I would never call you immoral for fantasizing about m/m.
