Today I saw a bunch of posts saying not to say “Wendigo,” and then a post saying (paraphrased) “I’m Algonquian, and I’m offended you think we’re all so superstitious we believe in Wendigos.” The people who say “don’t write about this thing” should only be listened to if they’re talking about stuff like blood libel.
