Tamora Pierce. Even if she's a kids author I still adore her works.

When I was a kid I was very into Enid Blyton, Beatrix Potter and Jill Murphy. I don't read a lot these days but I have fond memories of reading their books as a child.

Mercedes Lackey. Her works are incredibly uneven, quality is all over the place, but I find her writing so very comfortable and nostalgic.

I lived for a new John Saul book every year when I was younger! I think about his work often but haven’t read anything of his in about 30 years. I’ve actually been thinking about picking up some of those old books to see how they hold up for me. They were formative for me and sometimes all that got me through my shitty existence from 12-19.
It’s weird to me that he was a bestseller but no one these days ever seems to have heard of him.

AYRT
Similar to my experience of growing up reading his works. I'm also baffled more don't know about him - he was so popular back in the day. Thanks for validating that he was a thing, lol.
