I am baffled by how many people that have that much disposable income, time, and desire to spend it on these games.

I know people who spend hundreds a month on fishing gear/golf clubs/knitting supplies/gardening stuff/etc. and who spend equal amounts of time on those things. I don't pretend to understand it but it brings them joy so it's not my place to judge.

Not everyone is a Walmart cashier, there are plenty of people who have good amounts of money to spend on whatever makes them happy.
