This argument doesn't work for me, people who are willing to cheat on their partners aren't necessarily people who would physically attack their partners.

(Anonymous) 2024-10-05 12:28 am (UTC)(link)
I agree. There's likely some overlap between the two, but I doubt that Venn diagram is a circle.

+1

I really cannot accept OP's argument.

(Anonymous) 2024-10-05 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know if that is what OPs argument was. Or at least I didn't read it like that. Just because someone isn't physically abusive doesn't mean they aren't abusive, and people who lie and cheat on their partners are usually people who tend to be abusive in other ways - lieing, cheating, manipulating, etc.

(Anonymous) 2024-10-05 02:16 pm (UTC)(link)
+1 I didn't read it that way either.

I mean, Angelina is kind of a shit person herself. Not that she deserves to be in an abusive relationship.

She steals other women's boyfriends and husbands.

(Anonymous) 2024-10-05 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
DA

This makes it sound like the boyfriends and husbands had no choice in the matter

(Anonymous) 2024-10-05 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
Unless she kidnapped and enslaved him, she didn't steal shit. Brad Pitt was an adult at the time who made his own choices that included breaking his wedding vows.

Abuse is still abuse. It's not a punishment for cheating.

(Anonymous) 2024-10-05 04:16 am (UTC)(link)
When people bring up someone being shitty themselves when talking about abuse they suffered, it always feels really kind of. Ignorant? Oblivious? Like, not the time and place, if you don't think her being shitty is relevant to her being abused.

(Anonymous) 2024-10-05 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
Not aware of the situation that much, but abusive people can be very manipulative.

(Anonymous) 2024-10-05 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
I don’t like either of them so really never paid any attention nor had an opinion. I can absolutely believe her making it up and I can absolutely believe it being true. But recently I heard some gossip that the kids won’t have anything to do with him and the ones over 18 have legally changed their names to drop his surname. That speaks volumes to me.

Highly unlikely that she made it up, as it was reported to the FBI by a third party (member of flight crew, presumably).
