Animations: terrible, like really awful
Graphics: dated
Story: interesting political drama?
Setting: surprisingly very detailed?
Relationship type: explicitly fully consenting poly harem where the MPC doesn't pressure or coerce anybody??

First NSFW game with a male protag with a fully fleshed out personality where I like the character-as-written, assuming you follow the default path without purposely going out of your way to be an asshole. Finally somebody wrote a MPC that is assertive in general but has negative amounts of creepy coerciveness and believably comes off like his first priority is the welfare and right-to-choose-their-own-destiny of the women in the story, because he cares about and respects people in general as long as they aren't trying to kill him. And thinks, speaks, and comes off realistically like a mature man his 30s-40s which is a fucking unicorn in this genre.

Ofc it ends in a harem but it's one of the few games I've played where, if the correct choices are made, I can see why everyone is attracted to the MPC and it's not because the plot said so.

Bonus secret: Clicking through the terrible and dated "animated" frame by frame sex scenes was the worst part of the game. By the end I was trying to rush through them for more of the story because the world was interesting.

I'm not into these fanarts in particular, but for me it's like: [Body type or feature] is hot. [Canon character] is also hot. Combining both is even better. It's not that I don't love the canon character as-is (otherwise I'd draw someone else), but it's just playing with the design for fun.

Abusive!Melkor in the Melkor/Sauron ship. It just does not feel true to the characters at all. To everyone else, sure. But to Sauron, no. And would Sauron put up with it? Heck, no.

Does any character get as much wildly inaccurate portrayals in fanart as Link?

For some reason he seems to run the whole extreme gamut from tiny feminine elf boy with lipstick and mascara to giant hulking muscle man whose veins have veins with a 5 foot penis. On a regular basis.

Does this happen to any other characters?

I looked this up and found a gallery of all images. I’m having a hard time even finding the sex scenes, because so much of the gallery is just people having conversations with each other. I can buy that the sex isn’t the focus here. (Just as well, because that animation is serious uncanny valley.)

BTW, the pic initially made me assume genderbend succubus transformation. Looks like I was wrong.

Okay, but part of the problem with casting cis actors as trans characters is that it means trans actors don't get roles. I think it would be fine, potentially interesting even, if a series did this but ALSO cast some trans actors as major characters, whether those characters are trans or not.
The other thing is, I'm nonbinary and my ideal body has mixed sex characteristics. There's still room for visibly trans people in settings with perfect transition technology/magic, because we don't all want to look exactly like cis people.

No comment on this specific art, but sometimes the art feels like a correction of the canon. Especially with muscular women—often there’s a physically strong character whose canon design looks like a twig, and then the fanart bulks her up a bit.
