As one of them... Yeah, I can't help but to agree. A lot of the young ones treat it like a real sexuality or are very weird about people shipping their "f/o" and lgbt (or even straight) headcanons, etc. There are exceptions to the rule, but the coolest yumes/selfshippers are the ones who know they're an outlier, that character is not actually your partner and people aren't going to care for their OC or self insert/canon stuff.
