This so much. Dying alone as a childless cat lady or choosing the bear are both preferred options to men for me. I'm just tired of digging through trashfires in hopes of that genuine Nice Guy.

Add in me seeing and hearing relationships where after marriage or a few years the Nice Guy turns into just another dude who wants mommy to clean and cook for him (and it can/does turn abusive).

Like, even "waiting for the right guy" can backfire.
