Oh anon, we both know fandom would run the calculations to figure out which half of the pairing is more oppressed and so technically being exploited by the other half.

Unless the story is set during times of slavery or war internment camps or similar, it's really not that deep anymore and just an excuse for racism.

It's just a ship though, not an IRL relationship where someone is dealing with racist abuse. Unless it's something very loaded historically like a slave dynamic, the whole "this ship is problematic and bad" is just repackaged shipwar nonsense.
