BDSM scenes where there's just casual degradation thrown into a scene that's not *about* degradation, where it often feels out of character. I hate it so much.

And they are never tagged! I like BDSM elements but degradation is my major squick. And it somehow manage to be not in BDSM fics too. They just have some vanilla sex and out of blue you've got "you are such a slut" or something. Guh

Yeah, derogatory dirty talk ("you're a filthy slut, such a good whore for me" etc) REALLY turns me off, even when the characters are in a loving relationship and everything's consensual. :(

I can enjoy it as a kink myself but not out of nowhere. I agree about it feeling OOC when there's no lead up.
