Re: The weirdest thing you ever did?

As a child I used to get bundled up into a snowsuit, climb up a tree in our yard, and position myself so I was fully supported and put birdseed in my outstretched hands and in my lap and just sit there, waiting for birds to land on me.

You can't just stop there! Did birds land on you and feed or did you just hang around in a tree in the middle of winter?

So often I was unsuccessful and just sitting in a tree like a weirdo child, but a few times they actually landed and fed! The first time it happened it was a Blue Jay and it startled me so much I jolted and fell out of the tree. Thankfully I wasn't very high and the snow softened the landing. Very embarrassing haha but I had not been prepared for how large a Blue Jay is close up! I called it a day after falling out, but I did go back and was much cooler and mentally prepared the next time.
