I agree that the shorter seasons make it harder for some shows to really click. You need a good run to figure out all the kinks!

I agree. But the thing is streaming services basically make their money off announcing shows and getting press and buzz, not actually getting people to watch shows.

Yeah, you're probably right. The new format of TV has really changed a lot of things, and one of the biggest changes is that shows don't really get the luxury of time (and episodes) to hit their stride or find their footing the way they used to. I keep thinking of Star Trek:TNG and how even hardcore fans aren't enthusiastic about the earlier seasons. Nowadays, you don't get 2-3 seasons to adjust and get good.

Discovery has had five seasons and was still shit all the way to the end.
