Same! I am subbed to my favourite streamer on Twitch just to support him, but I haven't actually watched a stream in forever. I have no idea how people handle chat while watching game play; I feel like I have to read chat, but then I completely miss what the streamer is doing.

That's why I also dislike it when chat is visible in the YouTube vods. My brain can only handle one input and apparently it defaults to reading whenever possible.

Lots of people don't read the chat or simply hide it. If there are too many people in the chat, you can't follow what's going on there anyway. And yeah I don't really like streamers who show the chat on screen.
