I do think almost all queerbaiting discourse in relation to this show is ridiculous given how many canon queer characters and relationships are part of it.

That doesn't stop them queerbaiting a specific ship, though.

You can tease a ship without it being queerbaiting. It's literally not queerbaiting if one of the characters is canonically bisexual and has dated a dude. It's just a specific ship not happening.

Yup.

Shiptease is a term that exists and can apply to this ship based on what you think the writers are doing. Queerbaiting is straight up not applicable.

Okay, yeah, that's fair. I guess it's Eddie, specifically, that I feel that way about. If there's not eventually queer Eddie, given all the hints, I would absolutely consider it queerbaiting.
