DA, but this. Backstories, what happened afterwards, what happened to that B plot we never went back to, loose ends, plot holes, minor characters and things that happened off screen are just some of what's not covered by canon in most franchises. I guess I just never really got into fandoms where the only mysteries left unsolved were what they'd look like with their pants off.

See, I'm the opposite. I don't like canons that leave a ton of stuff hanging because to me, that's bad writing. I don't enjoy finishing a piece of media and going "but wait, what happened to X?" I feel like a good story should end with most everything resolved (unless they're planning a sequel).
