(Anonymous) 2024-10-23 10:54 pm (UTC)(link)It's easier to say they're "anti-woke" because they're vehemently against "whatever they view as woke" which is generally taken to mean anything not cis het dynamics featuring conventionally attractive people with the man being the main character and also the hero. And also mention of any ideas that go beyond enlightened centrism counts as political.
Racist doesn't quite cover it.

One can be a quiet or passive bigot who secretly looks down on the poor and holds their nose while interacting with neurodivergent people or something, but one cannot be quietly "anti-woke" because the term means they're crusading against anything they perceive as wokeness.
"Racist" is not the same as "bigot" is not the same as "anti-black."
