I don’t think falsely claiming erasure is a really tiny thing. I think it hurts real victims and helps bigots pretend it doesn’t happen and never has.

And frankly, anyone in this movie who didn’t instantly grasp the intention of the fan art is incredibly stupid and should switch careers.

I don’t think falsely claiming erasure is a really tiny thing.
I think it is, actually. I think a lot of speech acts are. Also, she doesn't speak for everyone who has ever suffered oppression/erasure/whatever and if someone thinks she does, they are giving way more weight to one woman's words than they should.

And I'm not arguing that she wasn't an idiot. I just think people should spend a lot less of their free time ruminating on the missteps of idiots in the world.

I think it’s harmful when it’s widely reported, like this has been.

But agree, she doesn’t deserve the attention.
