sorry to harsh your squee, nonny, but my inner poor person is aghast at the food waste. pumpkin is so good to cook with (simmered in soy sauce, baked in a pie) and feeds me and my pets. the one thing about halloween that makes me sad is all the waste of just carving a tasty gourd to leave to rot.
